12th Annual Dia De Los Muertos
October 17, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
La Vista Memorial Park is proud to present the 12th Annual Dia de los Muertos Experience on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020.
An inspiring tradition honoring and reuniting with lost loved ones.
Dia de Los Muertos – Day of the Dead – is rooted in centuries of Aztec culture. It’s a celebration to honor the dearly departed based on the belief that during this time the spirits of the departed return to visit the living. That’s a cause for celebration!
Just imagine that a long-lost friend or relative is returning after a long absence. You’d welcome them with their favorite things: food and drink, photos and cherished mementos of times you’ve shared.
At La Vista, we have incorporated every traditional element to highlight how Dia de los Muertos is celebrated today in various regions of Mexico and beyond. This year we are honored to present legendary world-class recording group, “La Sonora Dinamita,” to help lead us in celebration and honor our families.
Get ready to admire a beautiful display of elaborate altars created by families; experience a show-stopping runway of participants dressed as skeletal Catrinas, and view a wide variety of eye-popping folk art.
In greatest appreciation to Southwest Airlines, our official airline, you will also see national and international artisans demonstrating their crafts and offering one-of-a- kind art works for sale. You will also see a stunning carpet made from sawdust, an incredible art form from Huamantla, Tlaxcala, made by artisans known for the biggest and best sawdust carpets in Mexico. The amazing work – https://www.adventureindubai.com/accutane-acne/ traditionally used for processions – has multiple layers of color.
With La Vista love we build an extraordinary community altar, surrounded by food offerings and a variety of artistic features, where all of our guests are welcome to add the picture of their own departed loved one.
This is a one-of-a-kind loving experience inside our La Vista cemetery grounds that takes on even greater meaning when shared with family and friends. We provide an authentic venue in which this ancient tradition is authentically celebrated, observed and preserved for many years to come.
We take pride in welcoming you.
